This resource will outline the step-by-step process that team members will engage in during conversations with their manager.
Here's How It Works:
Step 1: Start a Conversation
There are 2 ways to start a conversation.
Manager starts conversation
Manager starts your conversation and an email will be sent to your inbox notifying you.
Or
Team member starts conversation - (This feature must be enabled by your system administrator)
Locate your Conversations tab under My Profile and select Start Conversation. You will be redirected to your self-reflection page.
Step 2: Complete your self-reflection
If your manager starts your conversation you will receive an email requesting to begin your self-reflection. Follow the link in the email or log in to your uMap™ account, go to the Conversations tab, and click the arrow next to the relevant conversation.
Complete your self-reflection and select Submit my self-reflection.
Use the information icon next to questions for some helpful tips.
Step 3: Meet with your manager
Your manager will schedule some time with you to discuss your self-reflection, talk about progress, discuss opportunities, and celebrate wins.
Step 4: Review and/or accept your conversation
Review Conversation
After your meeting with your manager you will receive an email to review your conversation. Simply follow the link provided in the email or log in to your uMap™ account, then head to the Conversations tab. Select the View icon next to the conversation you would like to review.
Accept Conversation - (This feature must be enabled by your system administrator)
Based on your company administrator's settings, you might receive an email prompting you to accept the conversation. Follow the link in the email or log into your uMap™ account, go to the Conversations tab, and click the arrow next to the relevant conversation to review and accept your conversation.
Step 5: Update My Profile
Update your Personal and Professional Insights under the My Profile tab with goals, KPI's, and anything else that was discussed during your conversation.
